Wealthpoint

“The anticipatory advisor”

I was engaged by Wealthpoint to run a keynote and workshop session for the organisation’s top 25 insurance advisors. In the 30 minute keynote I introduced them to the concept of strategic foresight, explored some relevant megatrends, reviewed some demographic changes and predictions and concluded by examining how all of these things would affect the job of the advisor. I recommended a new approach to the provision of advice I called “the anticipatory advisor”. In the 120 minute workshop that followed, I introduced them to some key future risks then we explored some future scenarios based on those risks using the “Futures Wheel” toolkit, playing out likely impact to society, technology, economy, environment and politics.
