“Aotearoa Futures: What the world can learn from futures practice in New Zealand”
I delivered a guest lecture on what the global futures community can learn from Aotearoa New Zealand. The session reflected on New Zealand’s futures practice, its distinctive context, and the ways local approaches to community, participation, long-term thinking and systems awareness can contribute to wider international conversations. I used the talk to position Aotearoa not simply as a case study, but as a place with valuable insights for how futures thinking can be practised in grounded, relational and context-specific ways.
